So here’s a green idea, edible walls. Not walls made out of candy or other sweet treats but a wall entirely made up of entirely organic plants. The idea originated from a man when his kids asked him if they could plant lettuce seeds in the wall. The dad said yes and to his amazement the seeds grew!
Edible walls are like Green Walls as they consist of a wall panel that is littered with openings, which is filled with soil and then planted with the desired plant. Edible walls are ideal for urban gardens and unlike Green roofs (roofs covered in dirt and planted with vegetation) actually produces food! Edible walls can consist of many different types of vegetation, tomatoes and strawberries grow just perfectly dangling off a wall.
Edible walls look just magnificent, what a great idea they are!
